GOLF SCOREBOARDS

Overview
Client needs to replace their current outdoor event scoreboards, with the ability to be flexible with event size.
Each of the boards will be laser engraved with the logo
Cut Panels
With the need for 6 scoreboards - 2 central boards and 4 end caps - the project began with measuring and squaring up the maple boards.
Without the boards being square, the stile and rail edging will not fit properly.
Each board sits just under 6 feet, with a 1 and 5/8ths inch maple trim added to the edges.

Rail and Stile Edging
To provide more structure and rigidity to the scoring panels, we decided to add contrasting maple wood edging to the boards.
Taking on a shaker cabinet style look, we began to measure and router the rails and stiles.
To ensure repeatable depths and accurate lineup it was necessary to run each maple board through the jointer. This made sure that warping was kept to a minimum prior to fabrication.
For the router table we used an Ogee bit to maximize glue surfaces
Edge Banding
&
Laser Engraving
To complete the finished look of the boards we needed to edge band the maple plywood. Following the application of the edge band, we next needed to trim the band to size.
Once the edge banding was complete it was time to place the country club logo on each scoreboard. Using our mobile laser we centered the logo on each of the boards.
